Valentina D'Amaro
Born in Massa in 1966, she lives and works in Milan. After graduating in Painting at the Brera Academy, she continued to study and try painting techniques, even copying works from the past. The technique she developed gives her works a special depth. Meanwhile she focused on landscape painting, where the absence of inhabitants provides a metaphysical solution which allows to go “beyond” narrative and rationality, to be open to wonder and mystery. The observer is thus invited to “get lost” in an interior experience and to let himself be led into a meditative dimension. She was invited at the 54th Venice Biennale (2011) and Prague Biennale 2 (2005). In 2016, her works were included in the famous book Vitamin P3: A New Perspective of Painting published by Phaidon Press.
