ADGY, in collaboration with Zhewu Space, is delighted to present the "Nomadic Boat" Three-person exhibition to you on April 25, 2025. This exhibition brings together three outstanding artists: Michel Leonardi, Chen Heitian, and Yuan Shu. Each artist draws inspiration from personal experiences and environmental changes, and uses visual media to create a unique artistic language. This exhibition attempts to trace those creators who traverse the latitudes and longitudes, transforming the changes in the geographical environment into the grammar of artistic mutations in the face of environmental changes. The exhibition will be held at Zhewu Space, No. 74, Minzu Road, Shapowei, Siming District, Xiamen from April 25th to June 5th.
The mission of contemporary art is to invent a new ground grammar for those souls that have been uprooted. Geographical migration often leads to the misaligned reorganization of cultural codes. The dialogue between the environment and creation is a multi-dimensional dynamic interactive process. It involves not only the impact of spatial displacement on the creator's perspective, but also the reinterpretation and imagination of the geographical space by the creative behavior. Geographical migration is not only the displacement of physical space, but also the renewal of cognitive systems and the fission of cultural genes. In the process of geographical migration and multicultural infiltration, artists achieve the fission and rebirth of cultural genes through the creative transformation of material media.
