Michelle Leonadi endows color with spatial function and emotional value, which forms the core of his artistic work. His chromatic research is expressed through diverse forms and techniques, immersing the audience in a rich sensory experience. His creations consistently revolve around his image project, which originated in 1981 as part of the "New Pigment" movement. This project employs color as an autonomous language, has made significant contributions to the "European Colorism" movement, and continues to expand within this field, pushing the boundaries of a new pictorial language to their fullest. The core concept of the works presented in this exhibition expresses the idea of "color solidifying time," deliberately eschewing emphasis on chiaroscuro, light sources, or even texture. The variously sized chromatic ellipsoids resemble capsules of time. They are the concrete manifestation of the artist's time-consuming and labor-intensive focus on the act of application within a flattened framework. Simultaneously, they also transform concrete entities from the river of time, representing the existence of the objective world.
